Explore Human History Through a Christian Worldview
At Boyce College, the History emphasis within the Humanities major prepares students to understand the forces that have shaped the world and the church. Through coursework in world, American, and church history, as well as literature and the humanities, students gain a deep understanding of human culture and events within a biblical worldview. Whether pursuing teaching, graduate study, or leadership roles in ministry or the marketplace, students develop critical thinking, research, and communication skills essential for faithful leadership. Students interested in historical study as preparation for diverse callings should select the Humanities major and choose the History emphasis.

Total History (Emphasis): 127
1 Students must take a minimum of 30 and a maximum of 36 credits in History courses, and a minimum of 6 to a maximum of 12 credits each in Languages, Literature, and Philosophy to meet the 48 credit hours for the major studies. Students may transfer in courses to meet up to 50% of those requirements, or they may take the courses at Boyce College.
2 Students must take a 15-hour minor offered through Boyce College. For available minors, see the “Programs of Study” section of the academic catalog. Each degree program lists “Requirements for a 15-hour minor.” Students may enroll in any minor except Christian Worldview and Apologetics.
